DANIELS SEVENTY SEVENS - A NEW INTERPRETATION

Beginning at the original issuing of decree from Artaxerxes in 458BC as 'the going forth of the word to restore Jerusalem' and the beginning of Daniel's 'Seventy Sevens' ending at Christ's Crucifixion in 32AD, being the 490 year period.


Daniel 9:24

Seventy weeks are decreed for your people and your holy city: to finish the transgression, to put an end to sin, and to atone for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal both vision and prophet, and to anoint a most holy place.


The Talmud outlines a 4000 year period from the original sin (forbidden fruit) until the Messianic Kingdom or the coming of the 'Kingdom of Heaven' as proclaimed by John the Baptist and Jesus just preceding the beginning of the Kingdom's age or 'days of the Messiah', as indicated.

The school of Elijah teaches: The world is to exist six thousand years. In the first two thousand years was chaos; two thousand years the Torah flourished; and the next two thousand years are the days of the Messiah, but through our many iniquities all these years have been lost.


Matthew 3:2

Yochanan the immerser (John the Baptist) had been anouncing "Repent you of your lives, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near to come"


Matthew 4:17 And as soon as he began Y'shua (Jesus) proclaimed "Turn you, turn you, in repentance: for the Kingdom of Heaven is near."


The mention of Messiah the prince at seven sevens shows a new beginning or turning point from 'the going forth of the word to restore Jerusalem' as the full allotment of the time period is tenfold.


- Daniel 9:25

Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.


Examining the 4000 year period until the beginning of the 'days of the Messiah'; approximately 3500 years from the original sin until the going forth of the word and the period of the seventy sevens (10 Jubilee periods) on to the consummation / crucifixion (Christ's body fully trampled underfoot). It is interesting to see there was a further 10 years until Judas Iscariot's (son of perdition) suicide and the ministry of Paul the Apostle.


Also indicating a seven year ministry of Jesus the Messiah from the time of his baptism until he was crucified as the last seven (week of tribulation) of the seventy sevens as it is inclusive in the time period from 458BC to 32AD as in the 490 years.


Daniel 9:26

And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.


Daniel 8 also states 2300 days from the taking away of the daily bread until the temple of Christs body is fully trampled underfoot and a consecration beginning with the Messianic Kingdom and proceedings of the Millennial Temple or the Church we have today. Interpretation is that messiah is cut off with nothing for himself and fasts in the wilderness at the beginning of the last seven years shortly after his baptism through until consummation and his crucifixion.


Note: The original manuscript shows the word daily and not sacrifice. The proper interpretation is daily bread. The word sacrifice was added to future translations misleading us from the original.


Daniel 8:11-14

Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of the sanctuary was cast down. And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practiced, and prospered. Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.


From the time of the baptism at the beginning of the last seven as being the time that Michael stands up followed by the abolishing of the daily bread and time of distress. The abomination that maketh desolate being the events of John the Baptist and King Herod as in the midst of the seven year period, coinciding with the turning of the tables in the temple courts in the last seven days in Jerusalem. This is a midpoint as indicated in the last seven pertaining to an end of sacrifice and oblation.


Daniel 12:1

1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. 4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. 5 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river. 6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? 7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. 8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? 9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. 10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. 11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. 12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. 13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.


This last seven of years coincides with the last seven days in Jerusalem at passover and the midst of the seven being the turning of the tables in the temple courts, the end coming with a flood towards consummation.


- Daniel 9:27

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.


These events and time intervals show a time cycle that from a beginning of chaos extends out, unfolds then snowballs; in passing over is mirrored on a midpoint and comes to a close in the end in atonement. The process being the blood of the lamb (forbidden fruit - wine) on to the broken body of the Messiah (God's word - bread of life). The same theory applies to the book of revelation.


The relative multiples stand: Multiples: 10; 3, 6, 9; 2, 5, 7, 15, 25, 35, 49 ad infinitum
